I submitted this entry to the Build Your Own 2013 Ford Mustang Challenge. The last time I checked, my entry had only scored a few points. The rating system is rigged--it appears that the more tacky you make your Mustang, the more points you earn.

My desired 2013 Ford Mustang would come with either the 3.5L V6 or the 5.0 V8 with a manual transmission. The exterior color is custom--I tried my best to match the Desert Sand Metallic that was offered on the 2005-2010 Mustang's. The suspension would be upgraded to H&R Coilovers for better handling and stance (I photoshopped (poorly) to get the desired ride height). The wheels are OEM Ford 19" wheels in bright silver.

Samsung Captivate Running Ice Cream Sandwich

Since Samsung and Google (Android) can't/won't get their act together on keeping their phones on the latest Android build, I took it upon myself to upgrade my Samsung Captivate from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Followed this method to a T: How to Flash Any Captivate ROM from Stock. The process is simple.

Went with the Slim ICS ROM and I'm loving it so far.

How to Open Two Windows in Microsoft Excel 2007

One of the annoyances about working in Microsoft Excel 2003/7 is that it doesn't automatically open Excel worksheets in a new window. I have tried the registry and file type hacks, but they won't work on my workstation. I would upgrade to Excel 2010, however my workstation is locked down by my employer and lacks the hardware requirements to run anything made after 2003. Here is a simple workaround to opening Excel spreadsheets in multiple windows.

How to Open Two Windows in Microsoft Excel 2003/7:

Create a shortcut to Excel (place it in your taskbar or desktop)
Open Excel
Open Worksheet A (either by double clicking, File - Open, or drag and drop)
Open Excel by clicking on your shortcut
Open Worksheet B (either by File-Open or drag and drop)

What's Keeping You On XP? - Slashdot

Hugh Pickens writes "PC World reports that Windows XP lost more than 11 percent of its share from September to December 2011, to post a December average of 46.5 percent, a new low for the aged OS as users have gotten Microsoft's message that the operating system should be retired. Figures indicate that Windows 7 will become the most widely used version in April, several months earlier than previous estimates. Two months ago, as Microsoft quietly celebrated the 10th anniversary of XP's retail launch, the company touted the motto 'Standing still is falling behind' to promote Windows 7 and demote XP. In July, Microsoft told customers it was 'time to move on' from XP, reminding everyone that the OS would exit all support in April 2014. Before that, the Internet Explorer team had dismissed XP as the 'lowest common denominator' when they explained why it wouldn't run IE9. The deadline for ditching Windows XP is in April 2014, when Microsoft stops patching the operating system. 'Enterprises don't want to run an OS when there's no security fixes,' says Michael Silver, an analyst with Gartner Research rejecting the idea that Microsoft would extend the end-of-life date for Windows XP to please the 10% who have no plans to leave the OS. 'The longer they let them run XP, the more enterprises will slow down their migration.'"

XP powers my Media Center PC because it's good hardware not supported by Win7. It's been years since I installed XP on it and it has given me zero issues.
